4            Primary activities
The primary PLCF activities include (not limited to) PLCF awareness promotion, fund raising, charity sales, material donation management, local donation distribution management (in China), collaboration management, and PLCF website development and maintenance.

PLCF activities may be managed under PLCF projects.  A PLCF project shall have clearly defined objectives and scope to support part or whole mission of PLCF (see the section of PLCF Projects for details).

PLCF activities are carried out by PLCF members and volunteers.

5            Membership
The PLCF membership is open to people who

–        Agree with PLCF core values, principles, and rules of operations

–         Are willing to participate in PLCF activities on a regular basis. 

A person can join PLCF as a member (hereafter Member) by  

–        Acknowledging that he/she agrees with PLCF core values, principles, and rules of operations

–        Expressing his/her willingness to participate in PLCF activities on a regular basis. 

PLCF does not compensate its members (including all PLCF board directors and officers) for their time spent on PLCF activities.  But PLCF does reimburse members for reasonable out-of-pocket expenses associated with PLCF’s activities.

There is no membership fee for joining PLCF.

PLCF members have the following rights:

–        Eligibility to be nominated as a candidate of a member of PLCF Board of Directors

–        An equal voting right with all other PLCF members for voting on board directors

–        Eligibility to be appointed to lead a PLCF project, organize PLCF events and activities, to be authorized to handle PLCF finance, and to represent PLCF in public affairs. 

–        To generate a motion for the Board of Directors meeting (See details in Section 7.2)

–        To a proposal for a new PLCF project (See details in Sections 7.2 and 7.5)

–        To make a formal suggestion to the Board

–        To file a formal complaint with the Board

One can choose to participate in selected PLCF activities as a volunteer if he/she is not able to do it on a regular basis.  Volunteering at PLCF activities is a great opportunity to learn about PLCF.
